SOHCAHTOA is a mnemonic for the three primary trig ratios in a right triangle: Sin = Opposite/Hypotenuse, Cos = Adjacent/Hypotenuse, Tan = Opposite/Adjacent. Given any angle and one side, you can find any other side; given two sides, you can find the angle.
