Estimate time to finish a series.
Binge length is episode count multiplied by effective episode length, where effective means after skipping the title sequence and recap. That sounds trivial until it is aggregated: sixty episodes with a forty-five second intro is three quarters of an hour. Dividing the total by your realistic daily viewing gives the calendar days, which is usually the number that decides whether a series is worth starting.
Effective runtime
Effective episode minutes = episode length - skipped intro seconds / 60
Binge calendar
Total minutes = seasons x episodes per season x effective episode minutes; days = total minutes / daily watch minutes
For streaming, yes — it excludes advertising. For broadcast originals the listed slot may be sixty minutes for a forty-two minute episode, so use the actual file length.
Because ninety minutes a day is an average, not a guarantee. Enter your weekly total divided by seven to account for the evenings you watch nothing.
