Work out wake up time instantly with clear inputs, formula shown and shareable results.
Working forward from bedtime, add the time it takes to fall asleep and then whole sleep cycles. Waking at a cycle boundary avoids the grogginess of being pulled out of deep sleep, and showing the option one cycle earlier gives a fallback when time is short.
Cycle-based wake time
wake = bedtime + latency + cycles x cycle length
Sleep inertia is worst when you wake from slow-wave sleep. Cycle boundaries fall in light sleep, where waking is easiest.
Sometimes, for how you feel on waking. Over days, total sleep matters more than cycle alignment.
