Estimate storage for drone footage.
Drone footage is dominated by video bitrate. At 150 Mbps a minute of recording is about 1.1 GB, so a single twenty-two minute battery can fill twenty-four gigabytes before you land. Expressing the requirement per battery flight is the practical framing, because that is the unit in which card space actually runs out in the field.
Video volume
Video GB = bitrate Mbps x minutes x 60 / (8 x 1024)
Per-flight requirement
Storage per battery = total GB / (flight minutes / 22 minutes per battery)
Budget roughly 25 to 30 GB per battery at 4K and 150 Mbps, and more if you shoot in a high-bitrate or log profile. Carrying spare cards is cheaper than cutting a shoot short.
Substantially. Log profiles at higher bitrates and raw formats can double or triple the figures, so enter the bitrate your chosen profile actually records.
