Plan a freelance project deadline.
A deadline is production time plus dead time. Dividing project hours by the hours you can genuinely give the project each week produces the production span; client review rounds then add calendar days during which no work happens. The waiting share is often a quarter or more of the timeline, which is why promising a date based on hours alone leads to missed deadlines.
Deadline from capacity
Calendar days = (total hours / hours available per week) x 7 + review days per round x rounds
Because you do not work on one project full time and clients do not review instantly. Both effects are calendar time in which the project does not advance.
Two is a reasonable default for most deliverables. Contracts that leave rounds unlimited are the usual cause of open-ended timelines.
Quote the calendar span, and state the assumed review turnaround alongside it so a slow approval visibly moves the date rather than silently breaking it.
