Motorcycle touring has an unusual cost profile: fuel is cheap because consumption is low, but tyres are expensive and wear out in a few thousand kilometres, so a long trip can consume a meaningful fraction of a tyre set. Including that wear is what makes the per-kilometre figure honest.
Fuel cost
Cost = distance x (L/100km) / 100 x fuel price
Tyre wear
Cost = distance / tyre life x tyre set cost
Because the proportion is far larger. A sports tyre lasting 5,000 km costs roughly 6 cents per kilometre - comparable to the fuel on an efficient bike.
Add it to the tyre cost field if you want a fuller figure. A chain and sprocket set lasting 20,000 km adds roughly a cent per kilometre.
