Work out non inverting amplifier instantly with clear inputs, formula shown and shareable results.
A non-inverting amplifier has gain 1 + Rf/Rg, always at least unity, and presents a very high input impedance because the signal drives the op-amp input directly. Closed-loop bandwidth is the gain-bandwidth product divided by the gain, so gain and bandwidth trade one for one.
Non-inverting gain
Av = 1 + Rf / Rg; bandwidth = GBW / Av
Electrical results are planning estimates only. Verify against the applicable wiring rules (IEC 60364, BS 7671, NEC or local code) and have all installation work designed and checked by a qualified electrician.
The input signal reaches the output through the feedback network unattenuated at minimum, so the lowest achievable gain is unity with Rf = 0.
Low enough that op-amp bias current and noise are not amplified, high enough not to load the output — typically 1 k to 100 k.
