Average daily gain is total gain divided by age. Feed conversion ratio is feed consumed per unit of gain and is the main cost driver. The performance efficiency factor combines weight, age and FCR into a single index — around 300 is average and above 400 is very good for modern broilers.

FCR = feed consumed / weight gain; PEF = live weight (kg) x 100 / (FCR x age) x 100
Technically on gain, but the industry commonly divides feed by final live weight, which gives a slightly lower number. Be consistent when benchmarking.
