Work out claim evaluation amount instantly with clear inputs, formula shown and shareable results.
Claim evaluation applies two independent filters: how much of the claim is supported by evidence, and how much of that falls within contractual entitlement. Both must hold, so the assessed value is the product of the two percentages, then netted against any counterclaim.
Assessed value
Assessed = Claimed amount x Substantiated % x Contractual entitlement %
Net position
Net = Assessed value - Counterclaim value
Indicative estimate only. Fees, entitlements, limits and formulas vary by jurisdiction, statute, policy wording and the facts of the case. This is not legal, tax, insurance or financial advice — confirm with a qualified professional or the relevant authority.
Because evidence and entitlement are separate tests. A well-documented cost that the contract does not allow for is still not payable.
Netting is usually more efficient and reflects how a tribunal would settle, but keep the two assessments documented separately.
