Plan language study sessions for fluency goals.
Language proficiency frameworks come with rough guided-hours estimates: about 180 to reach A2, 350 for B1, 600 for B2 and 900 to 1200 for the advanced levels. Subtracting hours already invested gives the remaining requirement, and dividing by your weekly study capacity converts it into a calendar. The figures assume a language close to your own; distant languages commonly take considerably longer.
Remaining requirement
Hours required = target level guided hours - hours already studied
Timeline
Weekly hours = minutes per day x days per week / 60; weeks = hours required / weekly hours
No. They reflect a language reasonably close to the learner's own. Languages with a different script or unrelated grammar commonly need one and a half to two times as long for the same level.
Often more, hour for hour, especially for listening and speaking. Passive exposure without attention counts for much less, so log active engagement rather than time in the country.
